The Kalihi Education Coalition (KEC) uses its best efforts to respect the privacy of its online visitors. We do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. This means we do not require you to register or provide information to us in order to view our site. The information we receive depends on what you do when you visit our site.

If you visit our site to read, or download information such as publications, forms, video and graphics, we collect and store the name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet; the Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site.

This information is used to determine the number of visitors to the different sections of our web site. We use it to make the site more useful. The information is usually deleted from the web server after a year.

KEC only gathers personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, zip/postal codes, e-mail addresses, etc, when voluntarily submitted by a visitor. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to respond to a stated desire to volunteer time to KEC, or to make a donation online. This information is used solely by KEC or other entities who are involved in the operation of this site for internal purposes. KEC lists are never sold to third parties. We will only share personally identifiable information with third parties when the person submitting the information authorizes us to share it or we are required by law.

Site visitors that are interested in volunteering their time and/or in-kind gifts are asked to provide their name and e-mail address to KEC. By using the KEC website you agree not to hold KEC liable for any damages whatsoever, and in particular KEC shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or damages for lost profits, loss of revenue, or loss of use, arising out of or related to any KEC website or the information contained in then, whether such damages arise in contract, negligence, tort, under statute, in equity, at law or otherwise. KEC reserves the right to make changes to information in this website without notice.

Note to parents about our Privacy Policy

KEC welcomes children to learn more about our organization and, where appropriate, find opportunities to serve their community through KEC programs and volunteer activities. However, we encourage this to be done only with their parent's knowledge and supervision. Children should ask for their parents permission before sending any information about themselves to us or anyone else over the Internet. NOTE: You must be thirteen (13) years of age or older to sign up for any of our programs.
